Postmodern Rite of Passage

Rooted in Bianca's Romanian cultural heritage and embedded with fantasy, the collection seeks to address the underrated difficulties faced by contemporary young adults. Born from a Romanian fairy tale, Postmodern Rite of Passage tells the story of two mirroring heroes in development through 8 intricately carved jewellery pieces. Each unique challenge of their parallel worlds is embodied in a hand carved wire wrapped miniature sculpture, interacting with the body in ways that intrigue and mistify both wearer and viewer.
